You may have found the perfect place to have your business but have your check the area for flooding. If you rent, you will want to see if the building has insurance against flood. More than likely you will need to get flood insurance on your own for your content. 

Try to prepare your work area for flood. Elevate your utilities and other critical items above anticipated flood water levels. 

Check with the local Stormwater Division in your county. You can find out all kinds of information concerning flood hazards and property protection.

If you are at work and flooding is occurring do not try to drive home. Driving through flood water is extremely dangers and could lead to death . Wait for help. Have a plan of action in place before the flood occurs. Better yet check the weather. Make sure your phone is set up to get emergency alerts. 

Be prepared before the flood, have insurance in place, have alerts in place and have an action plan in place.
